Aamir Khan’s Upcoming Movies in 2017, 2018

MOHSIN SOOMRO

Either it’s PK, Dhoom 3, or Dangal, Mr. Perfectionist did very well in all of his flicks. Aamir Khan’s movies are evergreen and earn almost triple of the budget. The latest releases of superstar 3 Idiots (2009), Taare Zameen Par(2007), and Dangal (2016) entered the 100 Crore Club of Bollywood.

For the past two decades, Mr. Perfectionist Aamir has been the ‘heartbeat’ of Hindi cinema. He has made a special place in people’s heart with his perfect work. Aamir does not give blockbusters every month like other actors. He is known for his film selection and only does one film in a year or two. But, he always gives his best in every flick.

Once a National level Tennis player, Aamir’s movies are still highly-earned movies at the Indian box office with PK, released in 2014, making 340 crore in India only. His movies earned him powers to enter in 300 crore, 200 crore, and 100 crore club films.

The 51-year-old superstar hails from a filmy background. Aamir is the son of Tahir Hussain, the popular 70s, 80s, and 90s filmmaker with the memorable films like Caravan (1971) and Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (1993) under his belt.

Aamir is known as an overnight star because of his movie Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, the super hit flick of 1988 which opened the doors of success for him. The movie also featured another debutant actress Juhi Chawla.

Directors and producers were keen to cast Aamir in their upcoming movies because of his fantastic start. He secured lead roles in more blockbuster flicks like Dil (1990), Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin (1991) and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992), Baazi (1995), Rangeela (1995), Raja Hindustani (1996), Ishq (1997), Ghulam (1998) and Sarfarosh (1999).

Then there came Lagaan, a (2001) landmark film that became the first Bollywood film at Academy nominations for the Oscar Awards.
