PFUJ condemns death of Capital TV cameraman due to non payment of salaries

KARACHI: G. M. Jamali President Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ)  and Secretary General Rana Muhammad Azeem have expressed their profound grief upon the tragic demise of Capital TV Cameraman Fayyaz Ali.

According to details cameraman Fayyaz Ali  was suffering from severe stress due to financial crisis as his employers had not paid him salaries for the last ten months. He experienced  cardiac arrest when termination letter was handed over to him and died the next day.

G. M. Jamali and Rana Muhammad Azeem condemned the owners of Capital TV for their anti-worker policies. They said that the management of Capital TV should be held accountable for the tragedy. They demanded the government to initiate legal action against the management. They said that voice would be raised at all the possible forums in order to get justice for Fayyaz Ali.
