£190m case: Mr. and Mrs IK’s petition seeking acquittal rejected

ISLAMABAD: Mr. and Mrs. Imran Khan’s petitions seeking acquittal in £190m case has been rejected by an accountability court here on Thursday (12th September, 2024).

According to details, the incarcerated founding Chairman of PTI, who used to call NAB Amendments NRO for a selected few (such as Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari and Co), had decided to make hay while the sun shined by asking relief in £190m case.

Imran Khan is accused of adjusting £190m sent by NCA to Government of Pakistan. as part of an agreement with Bahria Town’s Malik Riaz. IK, the then prime minister, terming the deal confidential, got it approved by cabinet on 3rd December, 2019 sans disclosing its contents.

NAB says Mr. and Mrs Imran Khan got 2,77,090 square yards of land in tehsil Sohawa of Jhelum district (worth billions of rupees), Rs. 285m in cash etc as donations for Al-Qadir University Project Trust, from Malik Riaz enabling him to get the £190m back which UK (reckoning as his black money) had given to the Govt to return to the people of Pakistan.
