MADRID: Rejecting Benjamin Netanyahu’s contradiction, EU’s Josep Borrell asserted that it was Israel that created and financed Hamas for years to weaken Al-Fatah.
Addressing the ladies and gentlemen, converged at Spain’s University of Valladolid, he said: “Yes, Hamas was financed by the government of Israel in an attempt to weaken the Palestinian Authority led by Fatah.”
“We only believe a two-state solution imposed from the outside would bring peace even though Israel insists on the negative,” Borrell maintained.
