RAWALPINDI: The Provincial Home Department has issued a notification proclaiming that PTI founder Imran Khan (IK) would not be allowed to hold meetings inside the Adiala jail here for two weeks due fear of a terrorist attack.
While Media has been directed to move two kms away from the jail, authorities have been asked to further secure the jail by putting barbed wires outside the premises of the gaol.
A fresh security audit of the officials of the Special Branch of the Police, IB and the jail staff is to be done in a single day. No individual would be allowed to enter the jail sans body search.
Home Dept also sought security screening of the govt. contractors carrying out various works inside the jail. Moreover, a clearance operation is to be carried out in and outside the jail.
It is pertinent to mention here that due to security alert issued by security agencies all the prisoners have been deprived of any visitations for the next fortnight.
