RAWALPINDI: Following the arrest of (R) Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed, for their actions prejudicial to the military discipline 3 more retired servicemen (brigadier Ghaffar, brigadier Naeem and colonel Asim) have been taken into military custody on Thursday (15th day of August, 2024).
According to ISPR: “Further investigations of certain retired officers and their accomplices for fomenting instability at the behest of and in collusion with vested political interests are continuing.”
It is pertinent to mention here that, in connection with the Court Martial of retired general Faiz Hameed, overall 8 people (including ex-servicemen) have been nabbed.
Meanwhile, federal information minister, while talking to journalists at a Presser held in Islamabad on Thursday (15th August, 2024), insinuated that more people would be taken into custody as no one could be allowed to put the country’s security at stake.
