The day commenced with thirty-one-gun salute in the Federal Capital and twenty-one-gun salutes in provincial capitals. Special prayers were offered after the Fajr for unity of the Muslim Ummah and Pakistan’s progress and prosperity.

TV Channels are presenting various programs to highlight the Seerat and teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH). Radio Pakistan is also broadcasting the proceedings of National Seerat Conference which is being held in the Capital.
