ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, during her weekly Media Briefing informed that Pakistani diplomatic missions both in Syria and Lebanon were engaged in facilitating the process of evacuation of stranded citoyens back home.
FO spokesperson informed that 475 Pakistanis (including 250 Zaireen) have crossed the Syrian border into Lebanon who would shortly be brought back to Islamabad. FO appreciated the support extended by the Government of Lebanon in facilitating the safe return of the Pakistanis from Syria.

It may be recalled that on 9th day of Oct, 2024, seventy-nine Pakistani citizens, who were transported, with the help of diplomatic missions, from Lebanon to Damascus by road, were brought back to Islamabad by means of a special flight.
