Zelenskyy disrespected the USA: Trump

WHITE HOUSE: Following the shouting bout with Ukrainian President here on Friday (28th February, 2025), US President Donald Trump stated that Volodymyr Zelenskyy had disrespected the United States of America.

“We had a very meaningful meeting in the White House today. Much was learned that could never be understood without conversation under such fire and pressure. It’s amazing what comes out through emotion, and I have determined that President Zelenskyy is not ready for Peace if America is involved, because he feels out involvement gives him a big advantage in negotiations. I don’t want advantage, I want PEACE. He disrespected the United States of America in its cherished Oval Office. He can come back when he is ready for Peace,” trump maintained.

Russia: Commenting on the Oval Office debacle Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated: “The visit of the head of the neo-Nazi regime, V Zelensky, to Washington on February 28 is a complete political and diplomatic failure of the Kyiv regime…With his outrageously boorish behaviour during his stay in Washington, Zelensky confirmed that he is the most dangerous threat to the world community as an irresponsible warmonger.”

Earlier, Donald Trump said that Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy would be signing a very big agreement here on Friday (28th Feb, 2025).

Trump held: “We have return for past US aid and, possibly, security guarantees…We’ve been able to make a deal where we’re going to get our money back, and we’re going to get a lot of money in the future. Most importantly by far, we’re going to make a deal with Russia and Ukraine to stop killing people Russia will have to make concessions.

“Think of it, a modestly successful comedian, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, talked the United States of America into spending $350 Billion Dollars, to go into a War that couldn’t be won, that never had to start, but a War that he, without the US and ‘TRUMP,’ will never be able to settle.” Reacting to the US President Donald Trump’s comments, Zelenskyy maintained that Trump administration must respect the truth regarding the Ukraine-Russia war that entered 4th year in Feb, 2025.

Ukrainian President Zelensky, who was very close to USA under the Biden Administration, has been termed as a dictator without elections by Donald Trump here on 19th Feb, 2025).

It is pertinent to mention here that following the Trump-Putin telephonic conversation and the parleys between US and Russian delegations in Riyadh on 18th Feb, Zelensky angered the US president by saying that he was living in a disinformation space. Zelensky was responding to Trumps statement that Kyiv could have made a deal earlier to end the war, but not Russia. Trump maintained that Ukraine should not receive any more aid without getting anything in return.

Following the 4-hour long rendezvous in Riyadh on 18th Feb, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio maintained that the meeting was the first step of a long and difficult journey to ending the war in Ukraine. It may be recalled that one of the promises Trump made during his campaign was that he wanted the war to end ASAP (even if it means giving up terrain to Moscow).
