BEIJING: China, that is augmenting the global footprint of its state Media, was happy to learn about Trump’s decision to dismantle VoA, (that they had been calling a Lie Factory), Radio Free Asia and other govt-funded Media.
It is pertinent to mention here that Beijing had been combating the US-Government-funded VoA, and RFA’s critical coverage of the state-of-affairs in China apropos Human Rights and Religious Freedom.
What China had been attempting to do for long, has been done by Trump. Now no critical reporting would be done on Chinese policies about South China Sea disputes, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
