TEHRAN: President of Iran Masoud Pazeshkian, while referring to Trump’s correspondence sent to the Irani Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei (on 6th March, inviting him to come to the negotiating table to ponder over a nuclear deal), said during a cabinet meeting here on Sunday (30th March) that his country had responded.
“We responded to the US president’s letter via Oman and rejected the option of direct talks, but we are open to indirect negotiations,” Masoud Pezeshkian told. It is pertinent to mention here that Trump in his message for parlays, also threatened bombings and secondary tariffs if Tehran did not sign an agreement apropos its nuclear program. Khamenei, while dismissing Trump’s warning said Iran would only engage in talks by means of intermediaries.
