BEIJING: Bulls roamed the bourse Wed (9th April, 2025) when President Donald Trump announced a 90-day pause on all reciprocal tariffs sauf China, which is supposed to pay 125% for exporting commodities to USA.
According to details the decision to back off levies was meant to acknowledge the patience of those countries that opted not to confront the Trumpian Tariffs. The 90-day gap will enable them ponder over the issue and figure out new pacts. It may be recalled that following the announcement of Chinese retaliatory 84 percent duties on American goods, Trump has raised tariffs against Beijing to 125 percent. Undaunted by the continuous blows of Trumpian Tarriffs, China said it would fight to the end against US move. Savants at the helm of affairs are of the view that the skirmishes could bring down both economies. As a result Trump had raised tariffs against China to 125 percent.
