KARACHI: Due to climate change, people in South Asia will experience intense heat during summer that arrived earlier.
In many southern parts of Pakistan (including Sindh) temperatures augmented sharply on Sunday (13th April, 2025). It will further climb to 46-48 degrees C, as a high-pressure system is set to develop over the upper atmosphere. The heatwave conditions is expected to persist till 18th of April.
Citoyens of Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will experience temperatures four to six degrees C above the normal. Savants at the helm of affairs have advised the vulnerable citizens to stay indoors during peak hours and always remain hydrated.
