WASHINGTON: US Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth has said here Sunday (13th April, 2025) that his country would use military option if a diplomatic solution to keep Iran from developing a nuclear weapon failed.

US and Irani diplomats had commenced an indirect dialogue in Oman on 12th April, attempting to resolve the European and American concerns apropos Iran’s nuclear program.

It may be recalled that on 9th April President Trump too proclaimed that a military action was absolutely possible in case Oman parlays failed: “If they don’t make a deal, there will be bombing.“
