JIUQUAN SATELLITE LAUNCH CENTRE: China has launched 3 astronauts (Chen Dong, Chen Zhongrui, and Wang Jie) to its permanently inhabited space station Thursday (24th April, 2025).
According to details spacecraft Shenzhou-20 and the crew lifted off atop a Long March-2F rocket from here on the occasion of China’s 10th National Space day. They are scheduled to spend six months onboard the Space Station. For the veteran astronaut Cmdr Chen Dong (46), this was his third spaceflight. Astronauts Chen Zhongrui (40-year-old former air force pilot) and 35-year-old former space technology engineer Wang Jie are going to space for the first time. They will replace the Shenzhou-19 crew, who will come back home on 29th April.
