ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has placed all airports in the country under high alert after the killings of tourists at IOK’s Pahalgam area recently.
While Indian airlines are not allowed to use Pakistan airspace, avions of foreign airlines originating from (or transiting through) Indian airspace will be keenly monitored.
Air traffic controllers at all major airports, have been directed to demand air defence clearance numbers from pilots of suspicious aircraft.
All personnel will have to carry valid departmental ID cards. In order to ensure seamless response to any emergency ASF, Police and LEA personnel will coordinate.
