RIYADH: US President Donald Trump, whose plane (escorted by Saudi fighter jets) landed here Tuesday (13th May, 2025) was received by the de facto ruler of KSA Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS).
Earlier KSA jets escorted the Air Force 1. Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs took to the X to inform: “The President of the United States of America arrives in the Kingdom on a state visit, with HRH the Crown Prince leads the reception.” It is pertinent to mention here that Trump is expecting KSA to invest a trillion dollars in USA. According to the White House USA and KSA have signed a $142bn defence sales agreement.
KSA will attempt to buy Air Defense Systems and F-35 fighters (worth billions of dollars) from USA during the tenure of Donald Trump, who brought along key members of his cabinet as well as US business figures including his adviser Elon Musk. US President Donald Trump’s current ME visit marks his 2nd term’s 1st major international trip.
