BLATTEN (SWITZERLAND): The Birch glacier collapsed on a hamlet (harboring 300 people) here Thursday (29th May, 2025) covering it with tons of rock and ice.
The administration here had got the area evacuated a week ago. However a 64-year-old man is reportedly missing. Due to harsh weather conditions Police had to call off search for him on Thursday.
