GUMI (S. Korea): Olympic Gold Medallist javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem fetched the gold in the Asian Athletics Championship (AAC) here Saturday (31st May, 2025).
His 86.40 meter throw was followed by Indian athlete Sachin Yadav who was awarded the silver for his 85.16m throw. Bronze was won by Japanese Javelin thrower Yuta Sakiyama whose javelin covered a distance of 83.75 meters. A day earlier the champ qualified for the final of AAC by means of 86.34 meter throw that was his first since getting the Paris Olympics gold.
