ISLAMABAD: FO here rejected remarks made by Indian PM Narendra Modi during his IOK visit Friday (6th June, 2025) that Pakistan attacked humanity and the Kashmiri identity in Pahalgam.
Responding to Modi’s remarks FO said: “It is deeply regrettable that the Indian Prime Minister has once again levelled unfounded allegations against Pakistan regarding the Pahalgam incident, without offering any evidence...
“Statements and claims cannot alter the legal and historical reality of the Jammu and Kashmir disputed…
“There are arbitrary arrests being carried out, and systematic efforts are underway to alter the demographic composition of IIOJK, in clear violation of international law, including the Geneva Conventions…
“Pakistan remains steadfast in its support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir and their inalienable right to self-determination.”
Earlier, taking to the X, PM Modi said: “Tomorrow, 6th June is indeed a special day for my sisters and brothers of Jammu and Kashmir. Key infrastructure projects worth Rs. 46,000 crores are being inaugurated which will have a very positive impact on people’s lives.
“In addition to being an extraordinary feat of architecture, the Chenab Rail Bridge will improve connectivity between Jammu and Srinagar. The Anji Bridge stands tall as India’s first cable-stayed rail bridge in a terrain that is challenging.
“The Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project ensures all weather connectivity and the Vande Bharat trains from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to Srinagar will boost spiritual tourism and create livelihood opportunities.”
