Gaza Peace: Israeli PM to meet US President

WASHINGTON: During a cabinet meeting, Monday (30th June, 2025) Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has informed about his imminent US visit: “I am expected to leave next week for meetings in the United States, including with President Donald Trump.”

Maintaining that exploiting success was no less important than achieving success, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu pointed towards recent airstrikes on Iranian nuclear installations: “These events follow the great victory we achieved in Operation Rising Lion.” During Monday’s cabinet huddle, Netanyahu informed that during his US Yatra he would also meet Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and senior lawmakers.

It is pertinent to mention here that US President had also expressed hope on 30th June apropos Israel-Hamas truce in a week: “We hope it’s going to happen. And we’re looking forward to it happening sometime next week. We want to get the hostages out.” The 3rd visit of Benjamin Netanyahu to Washington (during Trump’s 2nd sojourn in the White House) is reckoned important by savants. Israeli PM is set to take off for Washington on Saturday (5th July, 2025) and meet US President on Monday (7th July).
