LONDON: French President Emmanuel Macron, while commenting on the deal with UK apropos migrants, told that his government had augmented the level of security and checks by deploying twelve thousand security checks.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that the migrants crossing the Channel on small boats would be returned to France. Those who have never attempted to reach UK illegally would be allowed to enter via a legal and controlled route.
Emmanuel Macron noted that the deal provides a way for people with family ties here to cross legally. He said that France and UK were taking measures to ameliorate co-operation with with countries of origins in order to contain human -smuggling mafias.
