WONSAN: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called on North Korean leader Kim Jong Un here on Saturday (12th July, 2025) to exchange notes over ongoing Ukraine War.
During the rendezvous North Korea has reaffirmed its support for Moscow’s war in Ukraine. Pyongyang has sent its troops and weapons to aid Russia remove Ukrainian from Kursk. British Defence Intelligence has claimed that six thousand soldiers of North Korea have lost their lives in the Russia-Ukraine war, which manifests the closeness of the two countries.
Meanwhile, North Korea will be dispatching 6000 military engineers and builders to provide assistance to Russia in its endeavour to reconstruct the infrastructure bombarded by Ukraine. USA insinuated that in return North Korea will seek Russian technology transfer enabling it to strengthen it’s own military that happens to harbor nuclear bombs.
