Balochistan Constabulary Convoy Attacked

MASTUNG: Unidentified militants attacked a Balochistan Constabulary convoy going from Kalat to Quetta claiming two lives and injuring two others here on Friday (18th July, 2025).

According to details the gunmen opened fire at Acting DSP Abdul Razzak’s vehicle on National Highway, near Mastung, killing him as well as Constable Raza Muhammad Jam. Constable Taj Muhammad and Constable Khursheed Ahmed sustained injuries. The dead and injured were taken to Quetta by means of a heli.

It may be recalled that on 1st of July, terrorists attacked Tehsil office, Bank and a number of Govt bureaus, injuring seven citizens and claiming life of a sixteen-year-old boy. Frontier Constabulary, Counter-Terrorism Department, and Levies Force personnel retaliated and gunned down two terrorists, injured three in the exchange of fire.

Seven terrorists were neutralised in two separate Intelligence-Based-Operations (IBOs) carried out in Balochistan 3rd June. An IBO was carried out in Mach, during which due to an intense exchange of fire, five terrorists were killed. Another IBO was conducted in Margand area of Kalat District during which two militants were shot dead. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the killed militants who remained actively involved in a number of terrorist activities. It is pertinent to mention here that the militants had carried out 85 attacks in the month of May (2025) claiming lives of 50 security personnel and 50 civilians. On 31st May two people lost their lives, while many got injured when unknown terrorists detonated an IED near Nawan Killi area in Quetta.
