Dagari killings: bodies exhumed, autopsy conducted

DAGARI (QUETTA): Bodies of a man (Ehran Ullah) and a woman (Bano Bibi), who were shot dead before Eid-ul-Azha here on the orders of a tribal Jirga (led by Sardar Sherbaz Khan Satakzai, presently in Police custody) in June, were exhumed Monday (21st July, 2025) as per the instruction of a judicial magistrate for autopsy.

According to the post-mortem report the woman was shot seven times while nine bullets were recovered from the man’s body. Chief Justice, BHC, taking suo motu notice, has ordered the additional chief secretary (Home) and the inspector general of police to appear before the court in order to brief about the crime on Tuesday (22nd July).

Taking to X Chief Minister of the Province informed that LEA’s had so far nabbed 14 suspects. A case was registered on terrorism charges against suspects on the state’s complaint at Quetta’s Hanna-Urak Police Station. According to the CM, state stood with the oppressed.

It is pertinent to mention here that the executive came into action when a video went viral on Social Media featuring the (yet undisclosed) man and woman being shot dead in the desert. The deceased were not not married to each other. The woman was mother five while the man was father of six children from their marriages.
