CHAKWAL (Punjab): Two bus accidents here Sunday (27th July, 2025) have claimed 15 lives and wounded 50 others.
Eight people died in the first accident, that occurred near Balkasar Interchange. Bursting of front-left tyre of the bus, that was going to Lahore from Rawalpindi, caused the vehicle to turn turtle. Seven voyagers lost their lives when the bus they were travelling overturned due to over-speeding near Dharabi Bridge. The bus harbouring 48 commuters was plying from Islamabad to Lahore. Fifteen passengers with head injuries were taken to Chakwal’s Trauma Center and DHQ Hospital.
