PARIS: Malaysia is set to welcome global industry leaders to the 21st edition of the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS 2025), from 17th to 20th September 2025 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur.

Organized by Malaysia’s trade promotion agency, the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), MIHAS is the world’s largest international showcase for value-based, certified products and services – connecting buyers and sellers from more than 90 countries.
This year, five French companies will take part in MIHAS’ flagship International Sourcing Programme (INSP) – a platform for global buyers to source Malaysian products from over 14 industry clusters such as Food & Beverages, Packaging, Manufacturing Technologies, Logistics and more.
Their participation reflects a growing interest among French businesses in the value-driven aspects of halal-certified goods – especially in areas like quality control, traceability and sustainability.
“MIHAS goes far beyond its religious associations. It is an international platform for responsible trade, sustainable innovation, and high-quality production standards,” said H.E. Eldeen Husaini Mohd Hashim, Ambassador of Malaysia to France.
“In today’s consumer markets, halal certification is increasingly understood as a guarantee of integrity, transparency and hygiene – attributes that resonate with a wide range of consumers in France and beyond. We welcome more French companies to discover the opportunities available at MIHAS,” he added.
Importantly, MIHAS is aligned with global market trends, showcasing products that are organic, vegan, plant-based and environmentally responsible – attributes that appeal to the conscious consumer and evolving EU regulations.
The Halal Industry Master Plan (HIMP) estimates the global demand for halal-compliant products to exceed USD3 trillion, with projections reaching USD5 trillion by 2030. Beyond this economic potential, halal is increasingly seen as a practical and inclusive framework for quality and safety – adopted by both Muslim and non-Muslim majority markets worldwide.
