BANNU: Fifty terrorists, armed with heavy weapons, attacked the Police check post in Fateh Khel area here on Sunday (3rd August, 2025).
The gunmen blocked the road to the check post. But the police managed to remove the hurdles and engaged the attackers. The resultant gunbattle, that lasted for an hour, claimed life of constable Rooh Niaz Khan.
Three other cops sustained injuries, while three militants were gunned down during the exchange of fire. Search operation is being carried out in the area to nab those who fled the scene of crime and could be hiding in the adjoining area.
