KABUL: Afghan Taliban marked 4th year of the capture of the capital here on Friday (15th August, 2025).
Since the scheduled military parade was cancelled, Talibaan, carrying the Emirate flags, converged at (locked) US embassy and set off fireworks. It is pertinent to mention here that due to their interpretation of Islam (particularly apropos women), Talibaan government remains isolated globally.
Taliban morality Police, calling the UN an opposing side, proclaimed that it would not cooperate with the global entity. Officials here have informed on 20th August, (2024), that the Taliban Morality Ministry has dismissed two hundred and eighty personnel serving in the security forces for not sporting beards. Afghan Taliban also nabbed thirteen thousand people in the country for committing immoral acts in 2023. Nevertheless, half of them were set free.
Talking to the journalists at a Presser, Mohibullah Mokhlis, Director of Planning and Legislation, informed that 21,328 musical instruments had been destroyed in 2023.
Thousands of computer operators, were also prevented from selling immoral and unethical films in markets.
The ministry took to the Social Media 29th August last year, to state: “Due to its continued propaganda, effective from now, the PVPV will not provide any support or cooperation with UNAMA, which will be considered as an opposing side…
“We want international organisations, the countries, and those individuals who criticised the mentioned law to respect the religious values of the Muslims and refrain from such criticisms and statements that insult Islamic values and sanctities.”
Russia that happens to be the only country to recognise the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, maintained: “The representatives of the Afghan leadership were informed that, following the decision announced by the Supreme Court of Russia to suspend the ban on the Taliban movement, the Russian side has decided to upgrade the diplomatic mission of Afghanistan in Moscow to the level of ambassador.”
