ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Friday (15th Aug 2025) announced a reduction in the price of diesel by Rs12.84 per litre for the next fortnight.
According to the notification: “The Government has decided to revise the petroleum product prices for the fortnight commencing August 16, 2025, in line with the recommendations of Ogra (Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority) and the concerned ministries.”
For the next fifteen days citoyens will be able to buy one litre of High Speed Diesel (HSD) for Rs. 272.99, Superior Kerosene Oil for 178.27 after a reduction of Rs. 7.19, and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) for Rs. 162.37, after slashing of Rs. 8.20/litre. However, the price of petrol will remain the same i.e: Rs. 264.61/litre.
