KARACHI: Since the crescent of Rabi-u- Awwal (birthday of Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH) has not been sighted on Sunday (24th August, 2025), the Islamic month will commence on 26th August and thus Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi will fall on Saturday (6th Sept, 2025).
The day will commence with thirty-one-gun salute in the Federal Capital and twenty-one-gun salutes in provincial capitals. Special prayers will be offered after the Fajr for unity of the Muslim Ummah and Pakistan’s progress and prosperity.
TV Channels will present various programs to highlight the Seerat and teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH). Ulema and Khateeb will deliver lectures on the life of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Mahafil-e-Milad will also be organised all over Pakistan. Religious, political, social organisations and educational institutions have also chalked out a number of events.
Youngsters will colour the cities across Pakistan green by means of electric bulbs as well as paper/cloth flags, will happily march on the roads to celebrate the day. While state of affairs will be monitored from control rooms, Police and LEAs will be deployed to avoid any untoward incident.
