UPPER DIR (KP): Police and CTD conducted a three-day operation in an area of twenty sq.km here from 23rd to 25th Aug, during which 9 militants were neutralised.
Despite uneven terrain (consisting of forests) and heavy Monsoon rains, Police, Elite Force and Rapid Response Force carried out the operation in Hill Top, Dobando Dara, Masala Banda, Shandal Bagh, Itan Dara, Bagh Kale, Sanger, and Shandal Bagh.
According to reports ten Cops and CTD personnel got injured during the operation, while two civilians lost their lives.
