KARACHI (NPTV/RP): As soon as the current weather system enters Pakistan, rains will lash the Port City, Thatta, Sujawal, Badin and Tharparkar till Tuesday (2nd Sept) causing urban flooding in these coastal cities.
Hyderabad, Dadu, Sukkur, Ghotki, Larkana, Jacobabad and Kashmore located in the interior of Sindh will also experience heavy rains. Citoyens of Islamabad should remain prepared for heavy rains with thunderstorm from Friday till Tuesday. On 30th and 31st August rains will cause urban flooding in Punjab cities of Rawalpindi, Attock, Jehlum, Chakwal, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Narowal, Hafizabad and Mandi Bahauddin.
Flash floods, due to heavy rains, will inundate many cities in Southern Punjab. For instance, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Layyah, Bhakkar, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan. From 29th, 30th and 31st August, citizens of KP’s cities Malakand and Hazara will have to remain alert against landsliding triggered by heavy rains.
