SHERANI (BALOCHISTAN): Security forces have neutralised seven militants during a shootout that took place during an IBO carried out here Friday (3rd Oct, 2025).
Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the possession of the slain militants of proscribed TTP.

Militants are active in this province for quite some time, so are the LEAs. Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), carried out an IBO in the Aghbarg area on 1st Oct and neutralised ten militants during an exchange of fire.
Heavy ammunition and weapons were recovered from the killed militants (belonging to a proscribed outfit) who had been attacking members of LEA in the past. It is pertinent to mention here that a day ago a suicide bomber rammed his vehicle, laden with IED, on the FC Quetta HQ batiment, killing ten people including (4 FC personnel).

On 30th September, Natalie Baker, Chargé d’Affaires, US diplomatic mission here, took to the X to state that the United States strongly condemned the heinous militants attack near Quetta’s FC headquarters that resulted in many tragic deaths and injuries.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wish a swift recovery to those injured. The United States stands in solidarity with Pakistan in its fight against terrorism to bring its people lives free from violence and fear. We remain committed to supporting Pakistan’s efforts to ensure peace and stability in Balochistan and across the nation”.

On 30th Sept unknown militants attacked the HQ of Frontier Corps (FC) here. The blast claimed lives of ten (including 4 soldiers) and injured 32 others (including women and children). According to details a suicide bomber crashed his IED-laden vehicle on the batiment of FC headquarters.

The blast was followed by heavy gunfire near FC HQ at Zarghoon Road. Chief Minister of the Province of Balochistan (Mir Sarfraz Bugti) has claimed that 4 terrorists were gunned down by the members of LEA. Fifth of the militants slain was the suicide bomber. Authorities provided pictures of the suspects. Injured (six in critical condition) are being treated at Civil Hospital and Trauma Center.
