HELSINKI: Embraer, Finnair, and Nordic Regional Airlines (Norra) celebrated 20 years of E-Jets service on 1st October, 2025.

On 1st October, 2005, Finnair operated its first Embraer E170 revenue flight from Helsinki to Oslo, ushering in a new era of regional connectivity, comfort, and reliability. Since October 2012, Norra has proudly flown the Embraer aircraft across the skies of Europe on behalf of Finnair.
To commemorate this anniversary, executives from the airlines and Embraer gathered at Helsinki Airport for a celebratory event ahead of flight AY915, which retraced the historic route to Oslo, departing at 16:10 local time. The flight was assigned a specially designated call-sign – “FIN20Y”.

Christine Rovelli, Chief Revenue Officer at Finnair, remarked, “For 20 years, the Embraer fleet has been essential to regional connectivity, feeding traffic into our Helsinki hub. Operated by our partner Norra, the fleet continues to deliver excellent punctuality and reliability. We’re now renewing the cabins to further enhance the customer experience.”

The event featured a celebration at the gate, speeches from executives, gifts for passengers, and a special send-off for AY915, symbolizing the enduring partnership and shared values of the three companies.

Embraer reports 62 aircraft delivered in the third quarter, surpassing 3Q24 mark: The result represented a marginal improvement compared to 2Q25 and 3Q24, when 61 and 59 jets were delivered, respectively.

During 3Q25, 20 new commercial jets were delivered – more than half of them (11) were E195-E2 models, largest aircraft of Embraer currently in production in the segment. In the period, the Commercial Aviation business unit outperformed 2Q25 as well as 3Q24, which recorded 19 and 16 deliveries, respectively.
Embraer Executive Jets recorded 41 deliveries, compared with 38 jets delivered in 2Q25 and 41 in 3Q24. The highlight of the quarter was the Phenom 300, the fastest light jet in production and market leader for 13 consecutive years, with 20 units delivered.
In Defense & Security, the company delivered 1 unit of its multi-mission military transport aircraft, the KC-390 Millennium, completing the overall total of 62 deliveries by the company in the quarter.
Deliveries of Embraer estimates for the year are between 77 and 85 in Commercial Aviation in 2025 (midpoint 10% above year-over-year), and 145 to 155 jets in Executive Aviation (midpoint 15% above year-over-year).
