India to reopen embassy in Kabul

NEW DELHI: Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar has informed on Friday (10th Oct, 2025) that India was all set to reopen its Embassy in Kabul, that stopped operating four years ago following seizing of power by Taliban.

INDIA has presented 20 Ambulances to Afghanistan.

It is pertinent to mention here that Russia is the only country that has recognised the Taliban government. Yet China, Iran, Pakistan, Turkey and few other countries are operating their embassies in Kabul. Presently, Afghan Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi is in New Delhi for talks with his counter-part. This happens to be his first visit to India after 2021.
