N. WAZIRISTAN/TANK: Security forces have neutralised 3 militants, including two Afghans, here on Sunday (2nd Nov, 2025).
According to details, Security Forces in North Waziristan traced movement of terrorists, who were attempting to infiltrate into Pakistan from neighbouring Afghanistan. The militants were engaged and killed via precise engagement.
One of the slain militants was later identified as a Afghan Border Police personnel named Qasim. At Tank too, militant Ikramuddin aka Dajana, was neutralised. Later it transpired that he too harboured Afghan Identity Card.
There has been an upsurge of terrorists activities in KP and Balochistan for quite a considerable amount of time. For instance, on 11th Jan, nine terrorists have been neutralized by LEAs during a couple of IBOs in the Dosali and Esham areas.
According to details, while six militants were killed in the first IBO carried out in Dosali, three more were gunned down in the second IBO conducted in Esham area of North Waziristan. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the slain terrorists, who were involved in in the murder of civilians as well as LEA personnel.
During an exchange of fire between Pakistani troops and militants, six were neutralized in the Spinwam area of North Waziristan on 5th Oct, 2024.
Lt Col Muhammad Ali Shaukat, who was leading the operation against the khwarij, paid the ultimate price along-with five soldiers:
31-year-old Lance Naik Muhammad Ullah from Khyber,
30-year-old Lance Naik Akhtar Zaman from Lakki Marwat,
29-year-old Lance Naik Shahid Ullah from Tank,
31-year-old Lance Naik Yusaf Ali from Orkazai
26-year-old Sepoy Jameel Ahmed, a resident of Swat.
Operation in Swat: A joint IBO was carried out in Charbagh area of Swat during which two Khwarij (including Kharji ringleader Atta Ullah alias Mehran) have been killed and one wounded Kharji was arrested.
Ring Leader Mehran had carried out a number of terrorists activities including the IED attack on Police van that was escorting an entourage of foreign diplomats in Swat area in the month of August.
It may be recalled that a Police vehicle escorting a convoy of diplomats from 12 countries was attacked by means of a remote-controlled IED here on Malam Jabba Road on 22nd Sept, 2024.
According to details diplomats from Indonesia, Portugal, Kazakhstan, Bosnia/Herzegovina, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Turkmenistan, Vietnam, Iran, Russia, and Tajikistan were returning after a day visit to Malum Jabba when a Police vehicle hit an IED.
The explosion claimed life of Constable Burhan, injured Sub-Inspector Sar Zameen, Constables Amanullah, and Habib Gul. Nevertheless, the convoy continued its journey and all the Envoys reached Islamabad safely. TTP denied responsibility for the attack.
Russian Envoy Albert P Khorev, took to the twitter to state: “Tourism Summit organised by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry…On the way to the hotel from the town of Mingora in Khyber Pakhtunkwa, an escort vehicle hit a mine. Several policemen were injured, diplomats were not harmed.”
Moreover, in Central Kurram, terrorists’ attack claimed lives of 7 FC personnel who were fetching water at the Barani river bank. The wounded were treated at Combined Military Hospital.
