WHITE HOUSE: US President Donald Trump stated during a formal dinner held here on Tuesday (18th Dec, 2025) in honor of the visiting Crown-Prince Muhammad Bin Salman that Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has been designated as a major non-Nato ally.
“Tonight, I’m pleased to announce that we’re taking our military cooperation to even greater heights by formally designating Saudi Arabia as a major non-Nato ally, which is something that is very important to them…And I’m just telling you now for the first time, because they wanted to keep a little secret for tonight,” President Donald Trump said.

Earlier, President Donald Trump welcomed Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the White House. It is pertinent to mention here that last Friday Trump said: “We’re more than meeting. We’re honoring Saudi Arabia, the Crown Prince.”
