They are not a civic government, but a ragtag regime whose actions and alliances are turning Pakistan’s border areas into terr0rist strongholds: Sumaira Khan, Journalist @OmarButtPK@MatiurRehman786@sumrkhan1#BorderSecurity #Pakistan #RegionalSecurity #PakistanTV… pic.twitter.com/0eJCQH8Ua1

Pak head of diplomatic mission summoned: On 25th December 2024 Foreign Office of Afghanistan interim govt summoned the Pakistani head of diplomatic mission to deliver a formal protest over strikes carried out by the PAF jets inside their territory. 46 TTP militants lost their lives when Pakistani Air Force Jets bombarded their hideouts in Paktika province here on 24th Dec, night. Taliban had forewarned of retaliation to avenge the killing of their confrère and their family members. Afghan Defence Ministry spokesman, by means of X/Twitter, threatened: “The Islamic Emirate will not leave this cowardly act unanswered and considers the defence of its territory an inalienable right.”

The Menace of TTP: Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to UN, while speaking during the UNSC meeting held on 19th Sept, 2024, has pointed out that the 34th report of the UN monitoring team had shed sufficient light on the disturbing dimension of terrorism emanating from Afghanistan. Calling TTP the largest terrorist organisation in Afghanistan, he pointed out that the militants were conducting daily terrorist attacks against Pakistan with full support of the Afghan Interim Government. Ambassador held that his country was ready to cooperate with regional and international organisations to get rid of the TTP menace. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to supporting a peaceful and stable Afghanistan.

Afghan Taliban are using US weapons left behind by the bolting troops: “After a decade of progress against militants, Pakistan is now struggling to contain multiple insurgencies ….fuelled in part by American weapons…US assault rifles, machine guns and night-vision goggles, originally meant to help stabilise Afghanistan, are now being used by the Pakistani Taliban (TTP) and other groups to wreak havoc across this nuclear-armed nation.…In May, Pakistani officials gave The Washington Post access to dozens of weapons that they said were seized from captured or killed militants. After months of inquiries, the U.S. Army and the Pentagon confirmed to The Post that 63 weapons that were shown to reporters had been provided by the US government to Afghan forces.

“Most were M16 rifles, alongside several, more-modern M4 carbine models. Pakistani officials also displayed a handful of PVS14 night-vision devices…It may be recalled that in the month of February, President Donald Trump pointed out: “We left billions, tens of billions of dollars’ worth of equipment behind … all the top-of-the-line stuff … I think we should get a lot of that equipment back.” But Zabihullah Mujahid, the Spokesman of the Taliban government in Kabul, rejected Trump’s statement and said: ” “They’re now the property of Afghanistan. No one can take them away from us.”
