BANNU (KP): Militants opened fire at the official vehicle of AC Miranshah Shah Wali here on Tuesday (2nd Dec, 2025) gunning him, two constables and a civilian down.
According to Police, militants also set the vehicle ablaze. The attack took place at 10am near Mamash Khel’s area of Masoomabad, as the slain AC was going towards a court. Two cops who sustained bullet injuries were taken to a nearby medical facility.

Personnel of LEA’s in KP and Balochistan are regularly targeted by Militants. On the other hands the security forces too incessantly retaliate. For instance, 8 militants have been neutralised during an exchange of fire with them here on Saturday (22nd Nov, 2025). According to ISPR: “Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from killed India-sponsored Khawarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against… The operation underscores the strengthened collaborative efforts between LEAs and security forces, who have significantly intensified intelligence-driven operations in the region. “These meticulously coordinated and synchronised security measures are designed to constrict the operational mobility of Khawarij elements, systematically dismantle their facilitation networks, and curtail their capacity to reorganise.Operations are producing substantial and measurable success with continuous efforts to achieve more peace and stability.”
On 17th Oct, a suicide attack on a military camp in Mir Ali area here has been foiled by security forces. At first a suicide bomber crashed an IED-laden vehicle against the wall of the military camp. Following that three terrorists attempted to enter the batiment. But all three were prevented from entering and were neutralised.
Sixteen militants, who were trying to enter Ghulam Khan Kallay in N. Waziristan through Pak-Afghan border on the morning of 23rd March, had been neutralised by security forces.According to details Pakistani security forces engaged the militants attempting to infiltrate and after an exchange of fire, shot sixteen of them dead. It is pertinent to mention here that Islamabad believes that Afghanistan-based TTP militants infiltrate and attack targets in Pakistan. During an exchange of fire between Pakistani troops and Khwarij six militants were neutralized in the Spinwam area of North Waziristan on Saturday (5th October, 2024). During the exchange of fire Lt Col Muhammad Ali Shaukat, who was leading the operation against the khwarij, paid the ultimate price along-with five soldiers (31-year-old Lance Naik Muhammad Ullah from Khyber; 30-year-old Lance Naik Akhtar Zaman from Lakki Marwat; 29-year-old Lance Naik Shahid Ullah from Tank; 31-year-old Lance Naik Yusaf Ali from Orkazai; 26-year-old Sepoy Jameel Ahmed, a resident of Swat.)
