MADRID: Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Shazia Marri on Sunday (27th of Nov 2022) here has urged the world community to take some serious steps for resolving climate issues.
Shazia Marri was addressing the ongoing 26th Socialist International Congress.
Marri said due to climate change, 33 million people have been affected by the devastating floods in Pakistan this year and 650 thousand pregnant women and 4 million children have been severely affected by worst rains and floods.
Minister Shazia Marri said climate change poses the biggest threat to the planet and humans and the recent rains and floods in Pakistan are the latest example of the ravages of climate change.
Shazia Marri expressed hope that some measures will be taken seriously by the international community in the context of climate change to avoid its destruction in the future.
