KARACHI: Sarfaraz XI made a solid start against Sri Lanka after winning the toss and deciding to bat first in the second One-day International (ODI) being played at the National Stadium here today.
The match started at 3PM at the stadium where both teams had already arrived.
Wanindu Hasaranga has been the go-to bowler for Sri Lanka skipper Lahiru Thirimanne with the leg-spinner getting rid of both Pakistan openers. He first sent back Imam-ul-Haq in the 15th over and then got the big wicket of Fakhar Zaman, who departed for 54 off 65 balls.
Both the teams are in form after 1st ODI match was spoiled due to heavy rainfall and thunderstorm in the metropolitan city.
The Sri Lankan side is visiting Pakistan after 10 years and will play three ODIs in Karachi.
