6.1 magnitude earthquake strikes Turkiye

SINDIRGI: A 6.1 magnitude earthquake shook the western part of Turkey Sunday (10th August, 2025).

According to the Disaster Management Agency (AFAD) of Turkey, the tremors, were felt in a number of cities including Istanbul as well as Izmir (that happens to be tourists’ favourite).

Many buildings collapsed in the Province of Balikesir. No casualties have been reported.
