60% more tax collection reported this year: Chairman PPC




ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister of State and Chairman Pakistan Privatization Commission (PPC) Muhammad Zubair said on Friday that Pakistan’s economy was showing an accelerated growth due to present government’s investment led growth policy.

In an interview, the minister claimed that the federal government has broadened tax net and 60% more tax collection has been reported this year.

“Broadening of tax net is imperative for achieving the goal of a deficit-free budget,” Zubair said, adding that the microfinance has also recorded improvement and poverty has declined.

The minister said that due to incumbent government’s prudent economic policies, foreign investors are showing keen interest to invest in Pakistan.
