WASHINGTON: Niloofar Rahmani, former Afghan Air Force captain, has been granted asylum by USA.

According to details, being the country’s first female pilot she had been looked up by the suppressed women of Afghanistan as a symbol of empowerment. And that irked the Jihadis.

She went to America in order to receive training back in 2015 at the expense of US military. Later the Trump administration reckoned it too risky to send her back to Afghanistan because of the threats from fundamentals.
