ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Human Rights, Shireen Mazari on Sunday said Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaf (PTI) government would provide all possible help to resolve the problems being faced by Pakistani prisoners languishing in foreign jails.
Talking to a private news channel, she said all the stakeholders would be taken into confidence regarding missing person cases.
Commenting on violations committed by Indian forces in Occupied Valley, she said there was a need to look into the matters of human right violations against Kashmiri people.
About violation against women and children, she said the legal action was needed to be taken on such activities. There are laws regarding children rights and we would give a briefing in the next cabinet meeting in this regard, she added.
To another question about Women Shelter Homes, the minister said help would be sought from Punjab government about the provision of staff for these shelter houses.
In a query, she said Helpline “1099”, a website for human rights, would be revived in a couple of days. To another question she said the PTI government would take the country forward with the support of all the political parties as no government could perform or work alone, she added.
As far as awareness was concerned, she said it was not only the responsibility of the government but also the duty of every citizen to create awareness among masses about social issues.
