New spell of monsoon rain to continue till Eid-ul-Azha: PMD

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Wednesday has predicted that the new spell of monsoon rain will start from August 7 (today) and will lash parts of country till August 12. 

“Scattered rains/wind-thunderstorm is expected most areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Multan, Bahawalpur, D.G Khan, Hazara divisions and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Malakand, Peshawar, Mardan, Bannu, Kohat, D.I khan, Zhob, Kalat, Sibbi divisions and Islamabad.

Hot and humid weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
