Court extends Maryam’s remand for another 14 days

LAHORE: An accountability court here today extended the physical remand of Maryam Nawaz, vice president of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) for another 14 days.

The remand of PMLN leader was extended in connection with Chaudhry Sugar Mills corruption case.

Maryam Nawaz was arrested by the National Accountability Bureau on August 8.

In a press conference last month, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Accountability Shahzad Akbar said the Sharif Family used Chaudhry Sugar Mills and transferred more than Rs7 million worth of shares to Maryam Nawaz in 2008.
