ISLAMABAD: The United States of America (USA) remained the top export destinations of the Pakistani products during the first two months of ongoing financial year (2020-21), followed by United Kingdom (UK) and Germany.
Total exports to the USA during July-August (2020-21) were recorded at US $671.752 million against the exports of US $714.632 million during July-August (2019-20), showing negative growth of six percent, according to State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
This was followed by UK, wherein Pakistan exported goods worth US $275.015 million against the exports of US $284.895 million last year, showing nominal decrease of 3.46 percent.
Germany was the at third top export destination, where Pakistan exported products worth US $ 226.934 million during the months under review against the exports of US $ 220.807 million during last year, showing growth of 2.77 percent, SBP data revealed.
Among other countries, Pakistani exports to UAE stood at US $212.542 million against US $272.573 million during last year, showing decrease of 22.02 percent while the exports China to were recorded at US $200.424 million against US $293.431 million last year, the data revealed.
During July-August (2020-21), the exports to Holland were recorded at US $144.228 million against US $172.508 million whereas the exports to Italy stood at US $103.625 million against US $131.856 million.
Pakistan’s exports to Afghanistan were recorded at 123.750 million against the exports of US $166.515 million while the exports to Spain were recorded at US $88.489 million against US $ 156.324 million last year.
The exports to Bangladesh stood at US $ 85.881 million against US $ 123.322 million.
Similarly, the exports to Saudi Arabia during the months under review were recorded at US $71.336 million against US $57.978 million while the exports to France stood at US $59.040 million against US $75.946 million.
Pakistan’s exports to Poland were recorded at US $42.693 million during the current year compared to US $ 42.188 million last year whereas the exports to Sweden stood at US $35.078 million against US $24.309 million, to Singapore US $ 34.755 million against US $ 45.961 million whereas the exports to Malaysia stood at US $32.211 million only during the current year against US $ 26.465 million during last year.
Overall Pakistan’s exports to all other countries witnessed decline of 16.63 percent during the months under review, from US $ 4.105 billion to US $ 3.422 billion, the SBP data revealed.
