COVID-19: NCOC bans indoor wedding receptions

ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has banned indoor wedding receptions (in banquet halls) from 20th of November till 31st of January, 2021 in order to contain the spread of mysterious respiratory malady COVID-19 that is expected to spread during winter. 

According to details marriage gatherings (with upper limit of 1000 guests) could be held in open spaces. The SOPs will be imposed in cities having higher disease spread potential (including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Hyderabad, Gilgit, Muzzafarabad, Mirpur, Peshawar, Quetta, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur and Abbottabad).

Moreover, govt. as well pvt. organisations have been asked to make sure that half of its staff works from home. Wearing of mask has been made mandatory for citoyens by Commissioner Karachi and those sans mask will have to pay a fine of Rs. 500.
